amaranthine

Eden Schwinghamer

Queer - A young woman in a white dress is lying on the ground, placed at the top of the image. The vibrant green grass is wet, and her white dress stands out against the darkness. She looks to be both falling and held in suspension. Her eyes are shut and her limbs are splayed out around her, with her arms forming a T and her legs stretching straight out.

The first three images are from a set titled amaranthine, which is work produced about and for my best friend Madeline, who stopped taking her bipolar medication. The final two are from my forthcoming series intertwined, which explores place and connection through some of my mother’s favourite spaces near her childhood home.
