From What I Can Recall 2.0
Peyton Mott
From What I Can Recall 2.0 is a continuation of From What I Can Recall (2022). This installation forces viewers to step into the visualization of childhood memory loss due to mental health complications. The space is transformed into a bedroom setting reflecting the artist’s personal history through real items from childhood. The inspiration of this glitch project is a digitization of analog circuit bending; the glitch art community where experimentality thrives. It’s urgent that the audience understand the concept relies as a primarily interactive sound-based work creating a nonsensical chaos reflecting the incoherent memories. The audience is invited to interact with the scene through a keyboard rendering audio oscillation and glitching both sound and visuals.
